The owners and directors of Omnis are all well known tax experts, highly regarded and very experienced figures in the field of VAT.

Nick Hunt
VAT Consultant / Director

Nick was for 3 years a VAT officer in HM Revenue and Customs before leaving to join the private sector as a VAT Consultant with Grant Thornton. He began working with Alan in 2004 and has been at Omnis since its inception in 2005. He has particular experience of VAT issues in the not-for profit & land and property sectors and in partial exemption and the dreaded TOMS.

Alison Wood
Practice Manager

Alison has been with OMNIS since we opened our doors in 2005. She manages all the important stuff that Alan and Nick don’t like to get involved in – credit control, purchasing, debt management, marketing, payroll and many more duties besides. Ultimately, it is Alison that keeps the business ticking over and it is in no surprise that the business has grown as Alison’s duties have increased.

Alan Ross-Sercombe
VAT Consultant / Director

Alan has worked in VAT since 1975, initially with HM Customs and Excise (as was) and later as a consultant for two of the “big Four” firms of accountants before becoming a founder member of an independent consultancy in 1992. In 2005, he formed Omnis which specialises in VAT advisory and dispute work. Over the course of his career, Alan has provided VAT advice to a broad spectrum of businesses and third sector institutions ranging from intricate planning to assurance matters and disputes with HMRC. VAT advice in relation to Land and Property is a particular area of interest to Alan.
