CFSP (Customs Freight Simplified Procedure) is a system to enable importers to clear goods quickly from ports and airports without the need to make detailed customs declarations at that stage.

Declarations must be made within a set number of days thereafter, during which time the importer can decide whether to clear the goods to free circulation or to enter to them to warehouse or another customs procedure such as IPR.

Significantly, those declarations must be made using a Customs’ CFSP approved system or full declarations need to be made at the port/airport of entry prior to removal of the goods.
